Moving Image simply refers to, as it's name suggests, an image that moves! From early optical devices that tricked the eye through to Hollywood blockbusters filled with special effects.
Motion Graphics comes under this moving image umbrella, and is slightly more specific term which can be roughly described as'graphic design that moves'! It can be anything from a title sequence for a film or TV programme to screen graphics that appear instore in a retail outlet. It can be a simple moving animation on a website to a graphic based music video.
